Russian Vladimir Kuznetsov, arrested in the United States on suspicion of illegally sending small arms components to Russia, was released on bail. RIA Novosti quotes his lawyer Benjamin Yaster. The bail amount and the circumstances of the case are not specified.

Recall that Kuznetsov was charged with illegal export and conspiracy to export components and accessories for weapons from the United States to Russia. He indicated an incorrect description of the parcels' contents. The prosecution suggests that 58-year-old Kuznetsov, who lives in Brooklyn, and other conspiracy members mailed items to Russia since February 2017.

His wife Marina Muller was also the sender. The recipients were people named Vadim Novikov, Dmitry Kuznetsov, and other people.

If guilty, he faces up to 20 years in prison.
