Denis Sugrobov, a former head of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Ministry of the International Affairs of the Russian Federations, and other Administration employees are under prosecution under the allegation of abuse of official power. The law enforcement officers attempted setting up an FSB employee, according to investigators. They were going to pretend to be entrepreneurs wanting him to “take them under his wing” for $10 000 a month. There are 5 suspects in the case.
Boris Kolesnikov, his deputy and a suspect in the case, committed suicide by jumping out of a window June 2014. The Basmanny District Court has earlier prolonged his detention period until February 14, 2015.
