Law enforcers detained suspects in attempted murder of Neverovskie shot caller
Four detainees were placed in the pre-trial detention center for the time of the investigation of the attempted murder case.
Samara law enforcement officers detained four Togliatti residents on suspicion of shooting authoritative businessman Vladimir Safronov, known in criminal circles under the nickname Safron.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Samara region, one of the suspects resisted the police during the detention and tried to escape, but in the end was taken by guards. All the detainees turned out to be men between the ages of 32 and 40, two of whom had previously been convicted. At the request of the investigation, all of them were taken into custody.
The police also check the detainees for involvement in other unlawful actions.
As the CrimeRussia previously reported, on March 24 of this year around the house in Sverdlova Street, Togliatti, unknown persons shot 47-year-old Vladimir Safronov. The authoritative businessman was urgently hospitalized in the hospital with gunshot wounds to the head and body. At present, the condition of a man is assessed as stably heavy.
After the attack, the killers burned the Lada Granta car, on which they moved, not far from the scene of the crime, in the arch of house No. 68, Sverdlova Street. In the burned-out car pistols with mufflers were found.
On the fact of the incident, the Investigation Department of the Avtozavodsky District of Togliatti instituted criminal proceedings under part 3 of Art. 30, p. 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (Attempted Murder) and part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code (Illegal Possession, Carrying Firearms).
It is known that the businessman, who was attacked, was not the last in the once powerful criminal clan of Sergey Neverov (Never). According to regional publications, Safron became another victim of redistribution of influence of the Neverovskie business empire. Hiding abroad in the late 2000s, Sergey Neverov launched an endless conflict situation. So, over the past few years about a dozen entrepreneurs, who were previously associated with the Neverovskie OCG, were killed in Togliatti. The leader of the gang is wanted.
Police officers took Kristina Morozova to a police station to check her identity, where she ended up getting a closed craniocerebral injury, minor cerebral contusion, fissure fracture of her cheekbone, fracture of her left sphenoid bone, and large leg bruise.
Viktor Trutnev, ex-Head of the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department, has finished his career ‘in style’ – he went to jail. The Moscow Garrison Military Court has recently detained the retired general for the duration of the investigation. The former police commander is accused of mediation in bribery and bribe extortion. Trutnev was turned in by his former accomplices – FSB officers trying to extort 3 million rubles ($52.3 thousand) from the Director of Snegirev Research Technological Institute in exchange for covering up violations identified at the enterprise.
