Vosmerochnye received from 8 to 13 years of imprisonment
Law enforcement authorities stopped lawlessness of Vosmerochnye in December, 2010 after the address of local businessmen to Vladimir Putin.
Sentences to members of infamous organized criminal grouping Vosmerochnye were pronounced. For long time the OCG inspired fear in entrepreneurs of Gus-Khrustalny area, reported in the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee in the Vladimir Region.
For 12 years the organized criminal grouping committed serious crimes against local businessmen, over which the court brought charges to seven members of the gang under a number of articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: parts 1, 3 of Art. 163 (Extortion), parts 2, 3, 4 of Art. 162 (Robbery), part 3 of Art. 127 (Illegal Imprisonment).
Leader of an organized criminal grouping Andrey Murtazin, his brother Ruslan Murtazin, Igor Kopatov, Victor Dukvin, Vyacheslav Eremin, Sergey Antropov, and former deputy of city council from United Russia party Andrey Kashin were accused.
According to the investigators, Andrey Murtazin organized the OCG in the late nineties for the purpose of racketeering concerning entrepreneurs in Gus-Khrustalny area and the next to it Ryazan Region.

The relations in gang had a hierarchical structure. Vosmerochnye worked in coordination, together, carefully planning the crimes.
The majority of Vosmerochnye’s crimes long time remained unsolved, until the turning point appeared. The desperate representatives of business in 2010 wrote a collective letter to Vladimir Putin, complaining on gangster terror and connivance of local law enforcement agencies.
After that mass checks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service began in Gus-Khrustalny, then within 1,5 years the gang was liquidated and several senior ranks of militia lost their positions. Besides, a number of police officers - Sergey Tarlakov, Eduard Zhidkov, Aleksander Savinov, Boris Avanesyan and Mikhail Ovechkin, who were related to criminal structures, were also brought to trial.
Then the campaign for cleaning of bandits was officially called decriminalization of situation in Gus-Khrustalny area.
However, it was impossible to detain all bandits at once. Some of them remained on wanted list for long.
A number of persons involved in criminal case remained on wanted list for long time. Andrey Murtazin was detained in Gus-Khrustalny in September, 2012, his brother Ruslan – a week later in Voronezh. The last member of gang was detained only in the end of 2015.

Judicial proceedings of Vosmerochnye’s case lasted two years. As a result the court sentenced Andrey Murtazin to 13 years of strict regime with a fine of 1 million rubles, and other members of gang – to various imprisonment terms from 8 to 13 years with penalties in the amount of from 300 to 800 thousand rubles.
Prosecution against the member of an organized criminal group Roman Barinov was stopped in connection with his death, and Eremin and Kopatov and Dukvin, found guilty, were released from criminal liability “according to termination of limitation”.
