Vertolyotovskie gang members and its leader detained
Four cases of extortion have been initiated against gang members.
The police conducted a special operation in Novokuznetsk and Kaltan to detain four members of the Vertolyotovskie organized criminal group. Among the detainees there are the leader and the gang members, Sibdepo reports with reference to the press service of the Kemerovo region MIA.
According to the investigation, five residents were wronged by the actions of the bandits. The members of the group took possession of their property and cash assets for a total of about 1.5 million rubles ($22.200) under the threat of spreading defamatory information.
During searches at the place of residence, there were found and seized unregistered traumatic weapons, a Kalashnikov assault rifle with percussion grenades, documents on cars that were used while committing crimes.
Criminal cases have been initiated under the Extortion article. The defendants are arrested.
