“Thief must be shown to people.” Lawyer of victims of Tsapok’s gang calls on law enforcers for detaining leader’s ‘twin’ ASAP
Armen Voskanyan believes it’s in the interest of the Prosecution Service to detain a man who was mistaken for the “resurrected Tsapok” by citizens of Kushchevka as soon as possible.
Lawyer of victims of Tsapok’s gang Armen Voskanyan believes the native of Kirghizia who had been put on a federal wanted list for theft and mistaken for the “resurrected Sergey Tsapok” by citizens of Kushchevka must be detained as soon as possible.
Voskanyan told RIA Novosti he had no doubts as to the statement by the Prosecution Service that a man on the photo was not Tsapok, but “a thief has to be shown to people.”
CrimeRussia reported that on Tuesday, photos from a road accident scene in Sochi emerged in the media. A man resembling Sergey Tsapok - the head of an organized criminal group from Kushchevka who had died of a stroke in a remand prison - was caught on them.
Citizens of Krasnodar region turned to the Prosecution Service of Sochi Igor Gryaznov with a request to identify the man caught on the photo. A few citizens of Kushchevka believe the death of the gang’s leader could have been staged.
The regional Prosecution Service stated that the person who had been taken for Tsapok was a certain Vitaly Nikiforov, a native of Bishkek who was on a federal wanted list for theft.
The head of Kushchevka’s gang Sergey Tsapok and his gang’s member had been sentenced for murder of 12 persons in a settlement of Kushchevskaya in autumn, 2010. Tsapok died of disease on the night of July 7, 2014 in a remand prison where he was awaiting for consideration of the complaint.
