Senator Arashukov accused of organizing killings claims to be slandered for $910k
The arrested senator reports that he knows by whose decree the bribery of witnesses was carried out.
The convicted senator from Karachay-Cherkessia, Rauf Arashukov, said that the witnesses in his case for 60 mln rubles ($910,000) were bribed. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to his lawyers.
According to lawyers, Rauf Arashukov is currently busy preparing an appeal to Vladimir Putin. In it he plans to announce who and for what reason organized criminal proceedings against him and his father.
The senator reports that he has evidence that the witnesses in his case received 30 million rubles ($455,000) each for false accusation, and he also has data on whose order they were bribed.
Rauf Arashukov was detained on January 30 in the Federation Council. After that his father, an adviser to the general director of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz and a deputy of the National Assembly of the KCR, was arrested in St. Petersburg at Gazprom meeting.
Rauf Arashukov was charged with committing crimes under Part 3 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code (participation in a criminal community), Part 4 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code (pressure on a witness), Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder). According to the investigation, Arashukov was involved in the assassination of Aslan Zhukov, deputy chairman of the public youth movement Adyghe-Khase of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, and Advisor to the President of the KCR, Frall Shebzukhov, and pressure on the witness of Zhukov’s murder, as well as participation in the criminal community.
Raul Arashukov is accused of committing crimes under part 3 of Art. 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Creating a Criminal Community Using their Official Position) and part 4 of Art. 159 (Fraud). According to the materials of the criminal case, he was involved in the theft of natural gas of Gazprom for several years amounting to more than 30 billion rubles ($455 mln).
Rauf and Raul Arashukov have repeatedly become defendants in the investigations of The CrimeRussia.
The cadets have been found guilty of an Attempt at Murder by a Group of Persons by Previous Concert and for Mercenary Reasons (part 3 of Art. 30, part 2 of Art. 105 of the Russian Criminal Code). They do not plead guilty.
