Moscow Region: ICR publishes video of detention of seven agitators for terrorists
The suspects incited new supporters to attack law enforcement officials.
In the course of a joint operation carried out by the FSB, National Guard, the MIA and the ICR in the Moscow Region, seven people suspected of bringing new supporters to the Islamic State terrorist organization (banned in Russia), were detained. According to the investigation, the detainees also called on supporters to attack law enforcement officers, the press service of the Investigative Committee reports.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainees on the organization and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization (part 2 of Article 205.5 CCRF). According to investigators, the terrorist cell has operated since November 2016. As part of the case, the security forces conducted several searches. Firearms, ammunition and communication equipment were seized from suspects, the FSB reported. There are Russians, people from the Central Asian region and the Caucasus among the detainees.
