Miass enforcer and Turbazovskie OCG leader’s brother to go on trial
While in Moscow, the former Miass city-manager and several members of Turbazovskie organized crime group (OCG) are being tried for contract killings, the case of representatives of the younger generation of the organized criminal group was brought to court in the town of Miass.
Materials of the criminal case in relation to the gang consisting of 7 city residents were transferred to the Miass City Court in Chelyabinsk region, Ura.ru reports.
The Senior Investigator of the City Investigation Department Vladimir Skrebkov told about the case being transferred to the court.
According to the publication, currently, six defendants charged with part 2 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code (robbery committed by a group of persons by previous concert) are under arrest, another one - under a written undertaking not to leave the place. Among the defendants there are Alexander Morozov, the enforcer of Miass, and Nikolai Murashkin, the brother of one of the representatives of the Turbazovskie OCG Vladimir Murashkin.
According to the materials of the criminal case, they headed the gang, which was engaged in extortion and robbery. According to the investigation version, the gang was engaged in racketeering in the city markets. The security forces developed a group that also dealt with racketeering in urban markets for more than a year. Participants of the organized crime group were detained after they kidnapped the son of one of the local entrepreneurs, took him out of town, beaten and left with a broken arm, demanding 200,000 rubles ($3000) from his father. The operation to detain gang members was held in Miass in October 2017.
According to Ura.ru, after turning 29, Morozov received an unofficial title of the city's ‘enforcer’ or ‘alpha-dog’ from thieves in law. 26-year-old Nikolai Murashkin is the younger brother of entrepreneur Vladimir Murashkin, who is considered the ‘right arm’ of the leader of the Turbazovskie OCG Sergei Chaschin, who received 13 years of strict regime for banditry and murder. According to investigators’ data, the older Murashkin coordinates Turbazovskie OCG activity while their leader is in prison.
To recap, one of the participants in the OCG is the former Miass city-manager Victor Ardabievsky, the trial on whom and several other participants of the Turbazovskie OCG is in the process in Moscow. According to the investigation, Ardabievsky ordered the murder of the general director of ZAO Trek (CJSC Track) Andrey Paduchin and the director of the company Nadezhda Pavel Sidorov. Former Mayor of Miass Gennady Vaskov, arrested for misconduct, was also accused of having connections with the Turbazovskie OCG.
