Member of “Baksan gang” prepared terrorist attack in Kabardino-Balkaria
The suspect in terrorism received instructions from Syrian militants.
In Nalchik, the FSB and MIA officers detained a member of the Islamic State terrorist group (banned in the Russian Federation), who was preparing an attack being instructed by Syrian militants. Earlier, the suspect was in the “Baksan gang”, which nine years ago organized a sabotage at the Baksan hydropower plant, the Public Relations Center of the FSB said.
The security officers conducted a search in the detainee’s house and seized an improvised explosive device, extremist literature and other evidence indicating his guilt. The investigating bodies initiated a criminal case on the fact of preparation for the commission of a terrorist act.
Former Head of the Losino-Petrovsky district of the Moscow region, Oleg Fetyukov, did not enjoy his power in the local administration for a long time. Just a year after his appointment, the long-term deputy of Andrey Vikharev voluntarily resigned. The courageous step did not save Fetyukov from arrest. Immediately after this, a number of media outlets stated that Fetyukov was “set up”– the charges seem too small to his defenders. The enemies attributed to Fetyukov did not achieve too much either. So whom does the ex-head of Losino-Petrovsky “replace” under investigation and how long will the investigators be content with the replacement?
