Law enforcers carry out searches in apartments and offices of former deputy of People's Assembly and former employees of Makhachkala administration
Searches were carried out in apartments and offices of those suspected of swindling with land properties.
Law enforcers have started carrying out searches in apartments and offices of a former deputy of People's Assembly of Dagestan Fikret Rajabov and former employees of the administration of Makhachkala: Bagand Kurbanov, Mikail Gasanov and Shakhruzat Aliev, as well as a director of a commercial organization Adam International Rabadan Rabadanov, reports Interfax with reference to a source familiar with the matter. The official and the businessman are being suspected of involvement into machinations with land properties as part of an organized crime community allegedly headed by an en-head of a directorate of Rosreestr in the Republic Safiyul Magomedov.
The investigation theory is that the defendants in the case registered in their own names more than a thousand of land properties between Makhachkala and Kaspiysk. The agency’s source notes that in fact the land properties were owned by an ex-Mayor of Makhachkala.
The Investigative Committee of Russia had earlier been reported to have initiated a criminal case into creation of an organized crime community (article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) against the ex-head of a directorate of Rosreestr in the Republic Safiyul Magomedov and his subordinates, as well as a former deputy Mayor of the city German Ragimkhanov.
Magomedov who is being considered the instigator of the community, according to sources of RIA Novosti, is hiding from the prosecution. 2 employees of the Republic’s directorate of Rosreestr are detained for 48 hours.
The investigation theory is that the organized crime community headed by Magomedov was founded in 2000 with the purpose of enrichment of its members. The accused provided a right on land properties to legal and private entities by making false documents on behalf of the Mayor of Makhachkala, as well as false notes from the register of tenants and other documents. This way, more than 30 legal and private entities got the land properties. The damage from the actions of the organized crime community is estimated at 370 million rubles ($5.7 million).
