Italian robber detained during 2018 World Cup extradited from Russia

Italian robber Rodrigo Denardi, who was wanted by Interpol and detained during the World Cup 2018 in St. Petersburg, has been extradited from Russia, the press service of the Interior Ministry reports.
Denardi was a member of the organized criminal group, which committed armed robberies of the post offices of the Brazilian state of Espiritu Santo. A year ago, Interpol operatives learned that the robber was about to fly from Munich to St. Petersburg to visit a match between Brazil and Costa Rica. In Russia, Denardi was detained. The Interior Ministry did not specify whether he managed to attend the game.
The detained robber was handed over to employees of the National Central Bureau of Interpol. Denardi was taken into custody.
Currently, employees of Interpol NCB together with the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia handed over the robber to law enforcement agencies of Brazil. Denardi has been extradited from Domodedovo International Airport.
