Hitman of Kolya Bes gang to be held responsible for murder of businessman he committed 10 years ago
The Investigative Committee has completed the probe into the murder case.
An indictment has been approved against a man, 54, of Veliky Novgorod, who belonged to the gang of the late Nikolai Kravchenko (Kolya Bes), investigation believes. He is charged with the murder of businessman Sergey Danilov on Musa Jalil-Dukhovskaya Street in 2008.
According to the case file, the accused was "a member of the criminal community headed by Andrei Petrovsky, that was linked to Nikolai Kravchenko and Telman Mkhitaryan, the leaders of [a bigger] criminal community." To increase his dominance, the accused shot dead a local businessman with at least seven bullets. According to the prosecutor's office of the region, he did not plead guilty to the crime.
Novgorod Regional Court will be considering the case. Preliminary hearings will be held on May 28.
The gang led by Andrei Petrovsky was part of the criminal community of the late Nikolai Kravchenko, known as Kolya Bes. The mob leader hanged himself in a local pre-trial detention center after he was detained in Kiev. His gang is notorious for a number of murders and extortions in the region.
Windows and glass doors of the educational institution were broken. Many students tried to escape through windows. The Polytechnic College doorkeeper said that it took the ambulance very long to arrive.
