Gang of carjackers was sent to colony for stealing expensive foreign-made cars
Members of the organized criminal group found guilty of 22 car thefts were sentenced in St. Petersburg.
The carjackers gang was convicted under Art. 158 of the Criminal Code (Theft by an organized group), reported the press office of the Main Directorate of the IC in the city. The group consisted of 8 people: seven men and a woman.
The investigation and the Court proved that run from February to April 2015 the carjackers committed 22 thefts of expensive cars in the various districts of St. Petersburg.
All the criminals received prison terms: from 7 to 8 years. The court sentenced: Pavlov, Yanovsky and Sviridenko for 7 years of imprisonment; Lukyanov for 8 years in prison; Zolotukhin and Lashkov for 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment; Lobanova for 7 years of imprisonment, Timofeev for 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
Evidence of Solntsevskie leaders’ acquaintance with State Duma deputy and Hero of Russia Vladimir Shamanov and Lokomotiv trainer Yury Syomin was photos of them together, obtained by Spanish investigators from the smartphone of one of the gang leaders Arnold Spivakovsky (Tamm), who was arrested in the Costa del Sol last year in the framework of the police operation dubbed Oligarch.
