The investigation charges the former colleague with setting fire to the region governor’s house.

The Lefortovo Court of Moscow has arrested former Head of the ICR Investigations Directorate in the Volgograd region, Mikhail Muzraev, until August 10. He is charged with a terrorist act committed by a group of persons by previous concert (item ‘a’ part 2 of Art. 205 of the Russian Criminal Code), TASS reports. It concerns the arson of the house of Volgograd Region Governor, Andrey Bocharov.

Muzraev calls the statement of prosecution an “investigator’s fantasy.” “The fact is that those people whom I put in prison are now being used against me,” the defendant said. Muzraev faces up to 20 years’ imprisonment under terrorist act charges.
