Deputy of People's Assembly of Dagestan detained in case into organized crime community from Rosreestr
Fikret Rajabov was detained following searches in his house.
Deputy of People's Assembly Fikret Rajabov has been detained in Dagestan suspected of involvement in machinations with land properties, reports Molodyozh Dagestana (Dagestan’s Youth).
Searches in apartments of defendants in a case into an organized crime community founded by an ex-head of Dagestan directorate of Rosreestr (the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography) Safiyula Magmedov were carried out the day before. Rajabov was detained late in the evening following searches in his house. Searches were also carried out in an apartment of an ex-head of a department of architecture of Makhachkala Bagand Kurbanov, an ex-head of a municipal services office Mikail Gasanov, ex-head of a department of the city administration Shakhruzat Aliev and a director of a commercial organization Adam International Rabadan Rabadanov.
The investigation theory is that the organized crime community had illegally transferred ownership of more than a thousand of land properties in Makhachkala and at the coast of the Caspian Sea to legal and private entities. Source of Dagestan’s Youth reports that the investigators are interested in actions of Rajabov when he was the head of the Legal Department of Makhachkala’s administration. He is expected to be accused; his measure of restraint is expected to be chosen in the coming days.
Expert of the Republican directorate of the institution Renat Shikhveledov and cadastral engineer of the Federal Cadastral Chamber Abdula Umakhanov had earlier been reported to have been detained in the case into the organized crime community.
The intel scandal involving Oleg Smolenkov, who had access to the Kremlin and possessed valuable information, has become a widely discussed topic. It was CNN who reported, citing sources in the CIA and Donald Trump administration, on the “informant” being evacuated from Russia in 2017. It turned out that for certain people in Russia, the spy’s disappearance was not a secret, while the Russian elite denied the fact of espionage in unison with the American one. The Smolenkov family was forced to leave their luxurious mansion in Virginia, and their current whereabouts are unknown. Smolenkov’s “patron,” Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation for the International Sector Yury Ushakov, continues to fulfill his duties. The CrimeRussia looked into the story of “exfiltration” of the top informant and the possible consequences of his work as an intelligencer.
