The Press Service of the Main Directorate of the Russian MIA for the Sverdlovsk Region published a video of detained members of the criminal gang of extortionists, who worked in the Urals under the wing of the mafia boss Rovshan Lenkoransky. The kingpin himself lives abroad, but has a lot of adherents in Russia.

Earlier, the CrimeRussia reported on the round-up of members of the organized crime group, which, according to the security officials’ information, extorted big amounts of money and property from entrepreneurs. Minions of the kingpin gathered in Nizhny Tagil. The police knew about the planned gathering and surprised them.

The operational shooting shows the strong men with tattoos. Based on bruises, some of them tried to resist during the arrest and faced a fitting rebuff. All of them are the Russian citizens and residents of the Sverdlovsk Region, and said they did not understand the crux of the security forces’ claim. The operator also captured the search in the cottage of one of the houses where a member of the gang lived.

The press service of the Sverdlovsk MD told the CrimeRussia that the raid was held on the night of Thursday, August 4, on the Street of the October Revolution. The Organized Crime Investigation Division officers with the support of the Russian National Guard detained 30 people on suspicion of involvement in extortion. One of the detainees, as he introduced himself, was a master of sports in kickboxing. On the scene, a traumatic gun with alteration features, an IOU, and a foreign passport were seized.

Eight of the detainees had big problems.

- The Nizhny Tagil Court agreed with the arguments of the law-enforcement bodies and arrested five active members of an ethnic group suspected for a long time engagement in the extortion of money from local residents, including entrepreneurs. Among them, there are Khydyr G. born in 1970, Ilkin A. born in 1995, Orkhan M. born in 1992, Asim A. born in 1994, B. Telmann born in 1987. Against the other alleged accomplice a pre-trial measure in the form of house arrest was chosen", said the spokesman the MD of the MIA in the Sverdlovsk Region Valery Gorelykh.

As the detectives say, the defeated criminal gang operated in the style of turbulent 90s. Many residents of Tagil knowing about the existence of the gang were scared and silent. And the entrepreneurs, who were subjected to extortion, did not go to the law enforcement authorities for fear of reprisals. Currently, the Division for Combating the Organized Crime of the MD of the MIA in the Sverdlovsk Region is actively searching for victims of racketeering activities. The investigation continues.
