The Kuntsevo District Court of Moscow has arrested businessman and coach of the Rodnichok children's leisure center, Aleksandr Nevzorov, suspected of murdering crime lord Igor Belov on October 3, 2017.

According to Moskovsky Komsomolets, 49-year-old Nevzorov has been taken into custody two months, until December 3. The publication notes that the hearing was conducted in camera and began at 17 PM, although the suspect had been brought to court before noon.

Nevzorov is charged under part 2 of Art. 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (Murder), however, he does not agree with the accusation and calls his actions self-defense, the limits of which he exceeded. The accused person intends to appeal the court decision.

According to him, drunk Belov was the first to attack him with a knife, after which he shot him with a traumatic pistol in self-defense. It is noteworthy that Nevzorov turn himself in to investigative bodies together with two eyewitnesses of the incident, as previously reported by the ICR press service.

The investigation is checking into the version of self-defense, although the fact that 7 bullets were fired at Belov (indicating an intent to kill) runs counter with it. Therefore, Moskovsky Komsomolets reports, the case of murder in the cemetery remains unclear. For example, what if Nevzorov covers up someone more influential?

To recall, 49-year-old Igor Belov, a former member of the Solntsevskie OCG, previously convicted for a series of robberies, was killed October 3 during the wake of former leader of the Kuntsevskie OCG, Aleksandr Kaligin (Alik). Belov's body with gunshot wounds to the heart and lungs was found by graveyard workers. According to witnesses, during the quarrel at the funeral, one of the participants made several shots with a traumatic gun at the crime lord. Four cartridges were found at the scene of the murder.
