Caucasian was detained for knocking out 11 million rubles from Moscow businessman
The detainee is a part of the ethnic crime group, which extorts large sums of money in the capital.
The Moscow Police defused another Caucasian-racketeer, who extorted 11 million rubles from individual entrepreneur with violence. As it was reported to the CrimeRussia by the Moscow Central Board, 33-year-old native of the North Caucasus region did not act alone, but in the company of his accomplice.
The Central Board told that detainees are the part of ethnic crime group, which which extorts large sums of money in the capital. So, in June of this year, gang members have repeatedly put forward the requirements of one businessman to return a non-existent debt of 11 million rubles, threatening with violence to him and his family, as well as the destruction of his property. The businessman went to the police, where he wrote a statement on the racketeers, in result, the criminal case was initiated under item (b), part 3 of the Art. 163 of the Criminal Code.
Two suspects were detained during the operative-search activities. Officers of the Main Administration of Criminal Search of the MIA and fighters of the Special Rapid Deployment Force Lynx detained them.
The investigation came to the court with the request to take them into the custody. Now officers are working through defendants for involvement in other similar crimes.
The prosecutors want the former Russian Federation Council member to go to prison for 14 years instead of 9 and pay a 500-million-ruble ($8.8 million) fine instead of 70 million rubles ($1.2 million).
