Case of attempted assassination of Volgograd Region governor: Zubok and former regional ICR head detained
Today, searches were conducted all day in Volgograd.
As part of the case of the attempted assassination of the Volgograd Region governor Andrey Bocharov, the former head of the regional ICR Mikhail Muzrayev was detained. The website of the Investigative Committee states that Muzrayev’s detention was carried out in the course of “systematic work to identify and curb illegal actions among law enforcement officers, including in their own ranks.” It is known that the detention was conducted by officers of the ICR together with the FSB.
Earlier, the CrimeRussia reported that searches were conducted all day in Volgograd. They were carried out at Muzrayev's home and country house.
Previously, the place of residence of businessman Vladimir Zubkov, better known in certain criminal environment as Zubok, was raided. Some documents were found in his house that had the name of Lieutenant-General Muzrayev. Zubok was also detained today.
It is to be recalled that in Moscow on May 23, Volgograd businessman Yevgeny Remezov was detained. He was accused of involvement in the assassination attempt on the governor of the region, Andrey Bocharov.
