Billionaire colonels of FSB intended to siphon-off $ 190 million abroad

The 12 billion rubles ($ 190 million), found during searches at the head of the “banking” department of the “K” Department of the FSB, Kirill Cherkalin, and two of his alleged accomplices, were being prepared for withdrawal abroad, The Bell’s source, a former colleague of the security officials, suggested.
“It’s pointless to keep such money for a long time, apparently, they were accumulated to be taken abroad or sold,” the man explained.
The detainees were seized of 12 billion rubles in cash and in the form of jewelry. Cherkalin was accused of taking bribes for $ 850,000. His former colleagues Dmitry Frolov and Andrey Vasilyev are accused of swindling for 490 million rubles ($ 7,8 million).
