Armenian police conducted massive searches in houses of thieves in law

Operatives have seized several types of weapons.

Armenian law enforcement officers have visited houses of notorious thieves in law. Thus, officers of the police’s Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime have rummaged the house of 38-year-old Noratus resident (Gegarkunik region of Armenia) Alik Banduryan.

An air rifle and a hunting gun Walther of 12 mm caliber were found and seized from him, writes the website of the crime chronicle shamshyan.com. Banduryan himself stated that the weapon belonged to his father Leva Banduryan.

In addition, the search was conducted in the house of 49-year-old thief in law Gevork Melikyan, known as Gevorik Oshakansky. A hunting rifle was found at him and confiscated.

Melikyan said his wife owned the weapon.

It is noted that searches were conducted by a court decision. All seized weapons have been sent for examination.
