Another member of gang of robbers and murderers detained
He is charged with complicity in the murder of a family of three, including an underage son.
Ryazan police detained 38-year-old resident of Khimki Denis Sarychev, a member of the Zhеltуkh Khrisantem gang (Yellow Chrysanthemums gang), which robbed pawnshops and jewelry stores, committed murders in the period of 2009-2012. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee. The detainee is accused of involvement in the murder of a family of three in Moscow.
According to the investigation, on March 7, 2009, the gang committed a robbery attack on the apartment in Zarevoy Passage in Moscow. During the robbery, a married couple and their minor son were killed. Robbers have stolen property worth more than 2 million rubles ($34.700).
Currently, the detainee is transferred to Moscow. The court ordered to arrest him.
Zhеltуkh Khrisantem gang received such a name due to the fact that its participants hid weapons in a bouquet with flowers. Muscovite Sergey Balikhin created the gang in 2009. They carried out a series of robberies and murders in the period from 2009 to 2012. The investigation established the involvement of the gang in the killing of nine people. Three members of the gang - Balikhin, Viktor Yakubiv and Marat Yusupov were detained in 2012-2013. In 2014 they were found guilty of Murder (items (a, f and g), part 2 of Art. 105), Banditry (Art. 209), Armed Robbery (part 4 of Art. 162) and Illegal Arms Trafficking (part 3 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Balikhin was sentenced to life in a special regime colony, Yakubiv - to 14 years in prison, Yusupov got 22 years imprisonment in a colony of strict regime. The investigation of the criminal case continues.
Saburova believes that the Russian authorities violated articles 2 and 5 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, guaranteeing the right to life, as well as the right to freedom and personal inviolability.
