Shagor Stepanyan is reported to have been driving with green lights on - with a driver of BMW Nikolay Borovtsov crossing against the lights.
As a result, the instigator of the road accident Borovtsov, Stepanyan and his his passenger Andrey Shutkin were taken to a hospital. The son of the construction giant was diagnosed with an injury of the right eyebrow and left foot.
The victim’s father Gennady Stepanyan founded a development group Stinkom. Its partner is a son of MIA’s head Vladimir Kolokoltsev - Aleksander. The group’s assets are estimated at approximately $500 million. Besides Erevan-Plaza, Stinkom owns several facilities in Moscow and Moscow region.
