Oligarch Shalva Chigirinsky has huge birthday party in Tbilisi
The feast took place in a restaurant called Funikulyor.
Last weekend, the famous Russian businessman Shalva Chigirinsky celebrated his 70th birthday in his homeland, Georgia. His guests partied in a restaurant called Funikulyor located on Mount Mtatsminda, says Tabula.
Businessman Vano Chkhartishvili, a friend of the Georgian oligarch Bidzine Ivanishvili, met the guests, the report says.
Chigirinsky has been known for his connections with the criminal world since the 90s. The media wrote that he was in close contact with the late thief in law Dzhemal Khachidze (Dzhemal Suramsky). Also, the press had information that the then mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov, helped Chigirinsky settle with his creditors before 2010, and after the mayor’s resignation, Chigirinsky left for the United States and stayed there.
According to the source, one of the guests was Shalva Breus, the Russian businessman close to the Kremlin, who is mentioned in the 2010 Austrian criminal police report as a figure connected with Georgian organized crime.
More than 300 people attended the event. The guests were entertained by Vakhtang Kikabidze and Nani Bregvadze, as well as the famous Italian singer Alessandro Ristori, who is considered the "Celentano’s godfather" in his homeland.
