Gutseriev gives $2-million armored limousine to Lukashenko
According to some reports, the president of Belarus collects rare cars.
Billionaire Mikhail Gutseriev gave an armored Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Guard limousine worth about $ 2 million to the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, reports the Nezygar telegram channel.
The limousine with a presidential number plate was spotted at the Dynamo stadium at the closing of the second European games, reports Komsomolskaya Pravda. Lukashenko is expected to use the car to get to the 3 July Independence Day parade.
Today, a Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Guard is the most expensive luxury car in the world. In standard trim, the car costs 1.5 million dollars; the customs clearance costs about 900 thousand dollars, if you register the car for a legal entity, KP said.
According to Nezygar, recently the Belarusian president has been collecting rare cars. Currently, his collection has about 50 items, some of which got into Lukashenko’s garage after they were confiscated at the border.
At the beginning of 2019, the SAFMAR Financial Investments Group run by the Gutseriev family included the Minsk construction company U-Stroy. The U-Stroy owner, Anatoly Ternavsky, had worked with Mikhail Gutseriev in the Russia and Belarus-based oil and gas company Slavneft in 2000-2002.
