Gibraltar: billionaire Andrey Melnichenko’s new superyacht attached

Gibraltar authorities arrested the world's largest sailing yacht built by the order of Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko.
According to the specialized edition YachtHarbour, the shipyard accused the yacht’s owner, Valla Yachts Limited Company, in breach of contract’s conditions.
In particular, the lawsuit is about non-payment of the last installment amounting to €9.8 million in the stipulated by contract period until 27 January. In addition, the sum of 5.5 million euros is added to the debts to subcontractors.
As CrimeRussia reported earlier, the giant sailing ship worth 400 million euros came in Gibraltar for passage and running acceptance tests at the beginning of this week.
Built in the German Kiel yacht was another expensive cruise ship in the collection of Russian oligarch Andrey Melnichenko, the beneficiary of EuroChem, SUEK and SGK, whose fortune is estimated at €13 billion.
