Fortunes of Russian billionaires increases by $ 8.7 billion since beginning of 2018
Leonid Mikhelson is ranked the first in terms of income.
The total wealth of 23 Russian dollar billionaires since early 2018 has increased by $ 8.735 billion. This is reported by TASS, referring to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI).
The first place in terms of revenues among the Russian billionaires is now occupied by the head of Novatek, Leonid Mikhelson. Within the eight months of this, year he managed to earn $ 3.63 billion. His fortune is currently estimated at $ 20.3 billion.
The second place is taken by the main shareholder of Severstal, Aleksey Mordashov. He increased his fortune from the beginning of the year by $ 108 million – to $ 19.8 billion. Last year, within the same period, he earned $ 1.49 billion and then ranked first in the rating.
Vladimir Lisin, the head of the Board of Directors of the Novolipetsky Metallurgichesky Kombinat (Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant), whose capital grew by $ 1.33 billion and is now $ 19.4 billion, is the third in the list.
The fourth place in the ranking was taken by the president of Interros and chairman of the Board of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin. His fortune amounts to $ 18.3 billion (+ $ 608 million from the beginning of the year), the fifth place went to the main shareholder of Eurokhim, Andrey Melnichenko with a fortune of $ 15.9 billion (+ $ 2.06 billion since the beginning of the year).
For comparison, in January-August 2017, Russian billionaires grew their wealth by $ 17.09 billion.
Yet another scandal involving Boris Dubrovsky is looming in the Chelyabinsk region. The Governor is determined to resettle Uraim and Severny Klyuch villages against the will of their residents.
