Bloomberg names Lisin richest Russian
Alexei Mordashov had held the title before, for almost a year.
Vladimir Lisin, the owner of Universal Cargo Logistics Holding and NLMK Group, has left Severstal majority shareholder Alexei Mordashov behind in Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index (BBI).
Lisin’s wealth is estimated at $20.19 billion; it has increased by $2.17 billion since the beginning of the year. Lisin also comes 45th in the list of the world’s richest people and is followed there by Mordashov.
The owner of Severstal’s controlling stake had been considered the richest person in Russia for almost a year. His fortune has increased by $506 million since the beginning of 2018 and is now estimated at $20.18 billion.
BBI is a daily updated rating of the world's wealthiest people that reflects every change in their capital. It includes 500 people, 25 of them Russians.
The company RK-Aktivy, which was supposed to deal with real estate and non-core assets of Roscosmos, has not concluded a single contract since 2016. At the same time, the company management and staff received salary.
