Alisher Usmanov sells Muz-TV and STS TV channels
Ivan Tavrin has bought 58.29% of Usmanov's share in New Media Holding LLC, thus getting 100% of the company's shares as a result of the agreement.
The deal on sale of assets of UTV Group company belonging to billionaire Alisher Usmanov to Ivan Tavrin has been successfully made, RNS reports with reference to USM representative, Elena Martynova.
Tavrin has purchased Alisher Usmanov’s shares of New Media Holding LLC , which owns UTV Holding.
Previously, Usmanov's representatives stated that the Russian oligarch had never specialized in the TV business, and expressed confidence that Tavrin would create new prospects for the holding.
Ivan Tavrin has bought 58.29% of Usmanov's share in New Media Holding LLC, thus getting 100% of the company's shares as a result of the agreement. UTV holding manages such channels as You, Disney (20% belong to American Walt Disney Co.) and Muz-TV. In addition, UTV owns 75% of STS Media holding, including STS, Domashniy, Che and STS Love TV channels.
Billionaire Viktor Vekselberg has repaid loans in the amount of $1 billion taken from the Western banks. Earlier, his Renova Group had received state support from Promsvyazbank. Renova representatives say they have repaid the loan with the company’s own funds.

The businessman agreed to exchange the assets of Liwet Holding, through which Vekselberg’s company owned the shares of high-tech European concerns, for the assets of his partners Evgeny Olkhovik and Vladimir Kremer.
