Vice-Premier of Italy tells about of pro-Ukrainian nationalists preparing murder attempt on him
The police found an arsenal of weapons that they were preparing to deliver in the Donbass.
Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Salvini said he was told about the preparation of an assassination attempt on him by ultra-right nationalists. Yesterday, the police arrested three nationalists and found their arsenal of weapons and ammunition, which was prepared for shipment to the Donbass. Salvini has repeatedly spoken out against anti-Russian sanctions and has publicly endorsed the reunification of the Russian Federation and the Crimea, RIA Novosti reports.
“The signal came about a Ukrainian group that wanted to make an attempt on my life,” Salvini wrote on Facebook.
The head of the Interior Ministry added that “it was not a madman or a visionary.” The police arrested two Italians and one Swiss. In the found arsenal, an air-to-air missile was found. According to the police, the far right agreed with the mercenaries in the Donbass to sell weapons.
