US diplomat's wife suspected of fatal accident in the UK

The wife of an American diplomat left Britain after becoming a suspect in a car accident, which killed Harry Dunn, 19. According to The Guardian, the teenager was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a car near RAF Croughton in Northamptonshire on August 27.
Sky News reported that according to preliminary data, the head-on collision occurred when the car drove into the oncoming lane.
The woman, whose name has not been disclosed, initially cooperated with the police and confirmed that she was not planning on leaving the country. However, she left the UK before being charged. According to the channel, the woman used the immunity of a diplomat’s family member.
British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said he was disappointed when speaking with the US ambassador over the phone.
The US embassy stated that its officials were in close contact with the appropriate British officials. “Due to security and privacy considerations, we cannot confirm the identity of the individuals involved, but we can confirm the family has left the UK.”
