US biggest lender sells record amount of bonds

In general, non-residents bought $ 49.47 billion more financial assets than they sold.

Investors have been buying American assets again since the August sale which became the biggest once since last December. They are yet to get rid of the US government debt, however.

Capital flows to US assets showed a positive trend in September. Net purchases of shares by non-residents amounted to $ 8.8 billion, net purchases of corporate debt $ 14.9 billion, and net foreign purchases of agency debt by foreign investors amounted to $ 26 billion.

In general, non-residents bought $ 49.47 billion more financial assets than they sold.

Nevertheless, the outflow of funds from the American debt continued: net sales amounted to $ 34.32 billion for the reporting month.
