Trump advised Apple to leave China

The US President said that the American corporation Apple should move all production from China and leave the country altogether.

US President Donald Trump advised Apple to move production from China.

The president stressed that China has lost almost 2 million jobs in the last month alone because companies are moving to non-tariffed countries. The country suffers large production losses due to this outflow of production.

“They lost nearly 2 million jobs in a very short period. They’re going to lose a lot more jobs.  And if I didn’t help certain companies — there are American companies like Apple — for a very short period of time, I may help them, only until they do what they have to do, which is probably move from China <…> If I didn’t help them, they would — I mean, they would be — they would have a big problem,” he said at a meeting with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis.

Earlier, Trump said that the trade war with china will be short and will not lead to a recession in the US economy.
