St. Petersburg, Yerevan, New York join rallies in support of Khachaturyan sisters

Rallies in support of the Khachaturyan sisters accused of killing their father, who scoffed at them, were held today in St. Petersburg, Yerevan, New York, Warsaw, Berlin, Munich, Brussels, and Helsinki. The Village informs about the St. Petersburg campaign, the Khachaturyan sisters' case page on Facebook shares foreign media publications.
The organizers of the St. Petersburg rally told the edition that the participants of the pickets stood with posters dedicated to the case against the sisters. Police checked the documents of some activists.
From June 19, pickets in support of the girls were held in Moscow near the city office of the Investigative Committee, which studies the criminal case.
In July 2018, Mikhail Khachaturyan was found dead in the entrance hall. Last week, June 21, his daughters, 17-year-old Maria, 18-year-old Angelina, and 19-year-old Kristina Khachaturyan were charged with killing their father by prior agreement (part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code).
At the same time, the investigators concluded that the actions of Mikhail Khachaturyan led to the crime. According to the sisters, the father scoffed at them, and one of the girls fell the victim of sexual violence. Lawyers require to terminate the criminal case.
