In Finland, in the area of the city of Luumäki, a Russian knocked down two people to death on a truck. The press service of the Finnish police reports.
According to police, a passenger car with four people in the cabin was moving to the city of Kouvola. The car stopped so that its part remained on the roadway. Three people got out of the vehicle, and the driver stayed inside.
Passengers stood on the road behind the car when a truck rammed them. As a result, a woman born in 1979 and a man born in 1996 died at the scene of the accident. The third man, born in 1982, was injured.
A Russian born in 1983 is suspected of dangerous driving and causing death by negligence. The man was sober at the time of the accident.
The police are to find out whether the driver of the truck had an opportunity to detect people on the road since it was dark at the time of the accident.
