Ronaldo's mother accuses mafia of her son’s problems with getting Golden Ball
Football player's origin causes him trouble.
Dolores Aveiro, the mother of Cristiano Ronaldo, striker of Juventus and Portuguese national team, says that mafia prevents his son from receiving rewards.
“If he was a Spaniard or an Englishman, they wouldn’t behave like this. All this is because he is Portugues,” SIC Noticias cites the woman.
At the same time, she is confident that Ronaldo will win the Golden Ball this year.
Ronaldo is among the 30 applicants for the Golden Ball 2019. The award will be presented on December 2.
Golden Ball is the main individual award in football awarded by France Football magazine to the best player according to the results of the year. Ronaldo won the Golden Ball five times, as did Barcelona forward Lionel Messi. Last year, Real Madrid midfielder Luke Modric got the award.
