Prosecutor General of Belarus did not find reasons for arrest of Russian woman from “troll factory”
The international search for Anna Bogacheva in the country will be discontinued.
Anna Bogacheva, who was called an employee of Yevgeny Prigozhin’s “troll factory” and detained in Minsk at the request of the United States, was released. The international search for Russians in Belarus will be stopped, the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
According to Bogacheva’s lawyer, she was detained on October 13 in the case of tampering with the US elections. On October 15, the Russian Embassy in Minsk announced the release of the Russian woman.
In September 2018, Bogacheva was put on the U.S. sanctions list for working as a translator at the Internet Research Agency, which allegedly influenced the course of the U.S. presidential election in 2016.
