Premeditated murder case opened after Tymchuk death
Initially it was reported that he had shot himself while cleaning his gun.
The national police of Ukraine reported that after the death of Kyiv deputy Dmitry Tymchuk, a criminal case was opened pertaining to premeditated murder. The police added that another theory is being considered: a gun-cleaning accident.
The police also noted that there was a woman in the apartment at the time of the deputy’s death. She is being interrogated.
Earlier, his colleague Anton Gerashchenko said on Facebook that Tymchuk died while cleaning a premium weapon.
Dmitry Tymchuk was born on June 27, 1972. He served in the air defense forces, worked at the headquarters of the National Guard and in various departments of the Ministry of Defense. In 2014, he was elected people's deputy from People’s Front.
Presumably, it concerns the US response to Ukraine’s help in the investigation against Joseph Biden, Trump’s main rival in the 2020 presidential election, who allegedly was in collusion with Kiev during the previous campaign.
