Police detain employees of Turkish hotel where 12-y.o. Russian girl drowned in pool
The employees are subject to a restricted residence order.
Irina Kasimova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Embassy in Turkey, said the police had detained employees of the Sunhill Hotel in Bodrum, where a 12-year-old Russian girl had nearly died.
The hotel staff is subject to a restricted residence order. According to Kasimova, a letter from the deputy governor of the province of Mugla was received in response to a request from the Consulate General in Antalya, informing about the transfer of the case to the prosecutor's office.
“The hotel staff, whose fault in the incident was proved, were detained and are currently subject to a restricted residence order,” the Russian Embassy spokeswoman said as cited by RIA Novosti.
Previously, a 12-year-old girl from St. Petersburg was hospitalized after being sucked into a pool pipe at the Turkish Sunhill Hotel. The girl is in a coma and has not regained consciousness ever since.
