Poland looking for boy from Russia who disappeared after death of his father
Several hundred police officers, as well as service dogs and a helicopter, are searching for him.
A five-year-old Russian boy disappeared in Poland in the city of Grodzisk-Mazowiecki, the police are actively searching for a child. TVN Warszava reports it.
According to the Polish police, five-year-old David Zhukovsky “was taken by his father on Wednesday at about 17:00, and left for an unknown destination.”
Almost four hours later, his father’s body was found at a railway crossing: a 32-year-old man died after hitting a train. His car was found about 3 km from the scene. The location of the boy is not established.
Law enforcement agencies are asking anyone who has seen a gray Skoda Fabia car with the number WGM 01K9 to respond. The vehicle was spotted in Warsaw, near the Chopin airport.
Several hundred policemen and firefighters, service dogs, and a police helicopter are engaged in the search for the child.
A representative of the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Poland told RIA Novosti that the boy has Russian citizenship. The diplomatic mission of Russia noted that "the consular department of the embassy is in constant contact with the police and monitors the search for David Zhukovsky," the agency quotes.
