Permanent Representative of the UK to UN announces violation of Ukrainians' rights in Crimea
They have no access to essential services as they refused to change citizenship.
Residents of Crimea with Ukrainian citizenship are denied access to baseline services. The Permanent Representative of the UK, Karen Pierce, states, RBC reports.
Pierce noted that Ukrainians living in Crimea “have no access to essential services as they refused to change citizenship, which is contrary to international humanitarian law.”
Acting Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said that she might have outdated information or the report was poorly prepared TASS states. “There is no armed conflict on the territory of our country, therefore, talking about international humanitarian law concerning our country is inappropriate,” Polyansky said.
