Nigerian pirates release Russian sailors
The captain, senior assistant, and senior mechanic from Russia were captured off the coast of Cameroon along with the other five crew members.
The sailors captured off the coast of Cameroon have been released.
They have been taken to Germany; later they will go home.
To recall, on August 15, unidentified persons, allegedly Nigerian pirates, attacked the Marmalight bulk carrier near the port of Douala. The ship was navigating under the flag of Antigua and Barbuda. The pirates captured 8 crew members, including 3 Russians – the captain, senior assistant, and senior mechanic.
