Citizen of Georgia - who is a native of Chechnya - Zelimkhan Khangoshvili was shot in Berlin on August 23. The criminal approached him on a bike, shot him in his head from a silencer-mounted gun and tried to escape. 49-year-old Russian was detained on suspicion of the murder.
A few of German politicians believe that the criminal is tied to the Russia special services.
