Mexico's law enforces free Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman’s son who had been earlier detained in special operation

According to the minister, such a decision was made in order to to prevent lives being lost.

Mexican law enforcement officers released the detained son of drug lord Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman, Reuters reports citing Security Minister Alfonso Durazo.

According to the minister, such a decision was made in order to to prevent lives being lost. 

According to the earlier reports, the son of the drug lord was detained in city of Culiacan, 1,235 km northwest of Mexico City, after intense clashes with federal forces. 

According to the local media, as a result of a special operation carried out by the federal law enforcers in the Sinaloa state, Ovidio Guzman, the son of Joaquin Guzman, a drug lord who is currently serving a life sentence in the US, was detained.
