There’s no data on the motives of a 41-year-old suspect, so far.

41-year-old man burnt down an anime-studio Kyoto Animation (KyoAni) located in Kyoto, reports The Japan Times. 10 persons died and 40 (including the alleged firestarter) got injuries following the fire.

According to the police, around 10 persons with no signs of life were found on the building’s second floor. There’s no data on the motives of a 41-year-old suspect, as well as his identity, so far.

The fire started at about 10:30 am local time (04:30 Moscow time). The eyewitnesses say a series of explosions took place.

There are series and full-length motion pictures - including Haruhi Suzumiya, Clannad, Kanon, Violet Evergarden, and K-On! - Among the works of Kyoto Animation studio.

The video posted by the Japanese media shows black smoke going out of the windows of the studio’s building.
