Hungry bear digs up grave, drags off body in Russia’s Khabarovsk region

A hungry bear found his way into a cemetery in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Russia, where he dug up a grave and dragged off the deceased, local police told TASS.
“Police received a call saying that one of the graves was dug up in the Start district cemetery. A crime scene investigation team was dispatched to the area. Bear tracks were found at the site of the incident. The body of the deceased has not yet been found,” the police spokesman was quoted as saying.
According to him, police are conducting an investigation into the incident and looking for the body.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Natural Resources took care of the bear, who developed a taste for human flesh.
“Our experts went to the scene, they had permission to eliminate the animal. The bear was tracked down and shot,” Yuri Kolpak, head of the regional arm of the Ministry, told RIA Novosti.
