Female MMA fighter Saeideh Aletaha, who wore hijab during all her matches, dies after match in UK
Early in the morning, on November 17, Saeideh ‘Sai’ Aletaha was taken to a hospital in a critical condition and died on the same day.
Tragedy occurred at an amateur Southampton match this past weekend. 26-year-old Iranian-British Saeideh ‘Sai’ Aletaha was seriously injured during a match at Fast and Furious Fight and later died in a local hospital.
Her death was reported by MMAJunkie. Aletaha’s match took place on November 16. She was taken to a hospital in a critical condition after the match. Doctors could not save her life.
Police are known to be carrying out investigation into the details of death of the professional athlete. Saeideh was born in Iran and lived in Great Britain where she was a martial arts fighter. She was wearing hijab during all her matches.
