Chelsea footballer beaten outside nightclub for harassing another player’s girlfriend
A footballer from another team could take part in the beating.
Danny Drinkwater, a former England Chelsea midfielder who plays for Burnley, has been beaten outside a nightclub in Manchester.
The 29-year-old football player was kicked out from the Chinawhite club for harassing another player’s girl. Drinkwater was heavily intoxicated, The Sun reports.
Outside, the athlete was beaten by a group of six people. The attackers promised to “break his legs.” Drinkwater was diagnosed with bruises, abrasions on his face, shoulders, and arms, as well as an ankle injury.
25-year-old footballer Kgosi Ntlhe, who plays for Scunthorpe United, could be involved in the beating.
Because of the injuries sustained, Drinkwater will not be able to play for at least a month.
