Budapest: Russian football fans put up scuffle with police prior to Ferencváros - CSKA match

A few persons have been detained.

Shortly before a match between Moscow’s CSKA and Hungary’s Ferencváros, clashes took place between the football fans in Budapest, reports the Russian Embassy in Hungary.

Sport-Express reports that one of the station of Budapest’s metro was closed due to the clashes. Russian fans were on their way to the match under enhanced supervision of the police. Sport-Express adds that the scuffle is likely to have been planned before.

A few persons have been detained.

The Russian Embassy in Hungary also reports that they are working on the quickest release of the detained citizens.
